BAEOP Student Scholarship Recipient
Wendy-Jean Fischer and committee members Christina Large and Paula Jo Brave were responsible for evaluating the applications received for the 2006 BAEOP Scholarship. They were very impressed with the four applications received and found each of them to be very deserving of the scholarship. After much deliberation, they were able to narrow it down to only one.
Christina Lo, daughter of Ivy Lo (BSD Accounting Department), was selected as the BAEOP Scholarship winner for 2006. Christina attends Bellevue High School, where she has been an honor roll student since 2002, lieutenant captain of the drill team since 2003 and newsletter editor for the school newspaper since 2004. Christina has served as a volunteer at the Seattle Chinese School and was one of the cofounder of the S.T.A.R.S. mentoring program. She has been accepted by two schools in California, but has not yet decided which one she will be attending next fall. Her plans are to major in business and continue onto graduate school.
BAEOP has forwarded Christina’s application to NAEOP to be considered for the Affiliate Sponsored Student Scholarship competition for 2006.
